BTSA Biotecnologías Aplicadas based in Madrid, Spain is the main European manufacturer of natural vitamin E and natural tocopherols. BTSA also offers a wide range of anti-oxidant blends.

In January 2011, BTSA moved its production line to new facilities in Tecnoalcalá, housing a new production plant with two molecular distillation lines and services that will enable them to increase production volume and meet the needs of its customers.

Raw ingredients used by BTSA are by-products resulting from refined IP soybean and sunflower oil. Except virgin olive oil, all food-grade oils are refined. The manufacturing process of BTSA tocopherols consists in concentrating the tocopherol fraction via molecular distillation. The remaining fraction is used for biodiesel.

BTSA is FSSC 22000:2011 certified. FSSC 22000:2011 includes ISO 22000:2005 and ISO/TS 22002-1:2009.
